16' min on walls for loft is correct. what slope roof??? the more pitch the better. I have a 1 on 4 and that's too flat. my dad's 1 on 8 and much better on run off and it just looks good IMO. of course mine and dads are 40' wide and not 50".the over hang is the way to go too. hate opening my role ups and water being blown in or the sun beating down on me. One other thing Artie. not sure if you are doing insulation or not but the double bubble insulation had a defect when me and dad built...he used a different buiders...and the ultraviolet light deteriorates the coating on it so it starts falling of...little white peaces everywhere 
when the wind blows in. like dandruff. check to make sure they have solved that issue or go with something else.
P.S. figure 30-35% compaction on dirt...and i personally would use fill sand ( 10-15% compaction) as the base but but that cost more.

I can post a couple pics of dads and mine so you can see what a difference the slope makes in appearance and room inside if you want. Next time I'm up in the great north (centerville MS 
) i"ll take a few of his.
don't know about you but I need a visual on things like this, have a hard time seeing it in my head even tho I know and understand the "lingo" i still am way better off seeing it.

if you call going from our place to boopalous going out in the boat, then yes we are LOL. gonna catch the LSU game there and have a few turkey and cokes
I'll check for the "whatever" to see if its in the bottom of my bottle today...never seen it before but I really can't say or remember if I've ever looked either
