ITS NOT A RACE
IT's A Charity fun run
We are meeting this Friday and will have date set, checking with other venues and the accommodations.

A wise man named Don Aronow once told my farther racing in baddest Cigs at the time,,Its not how fast you go but how far you can go fast!!!
Jim living racing boating on Lake Pontchartrain for over 25 yrs has groomed me for such a run!!

ALSO::T2X FYI I cruise faster in rough water than race boats ran in your day!!Not talking 2miles try 30-60 depending what direction were crossing.Alot of pokerrunners are former racers I know plenty of racers that had no experience .So just because you put on a helmet and life line jacket it don't make you king of the water. Besides i wouldn't call 90% of the calm inland water courses today offshore racing my friend.
JUST MY 2 cents

Holy Crap,

I just read all 23 pages, and haven't laughed so hard in a long long time....

What an awesome idea for a Charity Run. Good Luck to all the participants.

Awesome Thread!! And a GREAT cause! Would love to help out, but, don't have anywhere NEAR enough boat for this run!

I would like to see a Statement! 42 show up, I know they run pretty good numbers and I assume that air cushioned cockpit thingy would be a real advantage in rough water? Thoughts?

If anyone needs a co pilot, navigator or just a couple hundred pounds of ballast PLEASE let me know, not looking to freeload, I pay my own way (and then some)

Heck, I would go out in a paddle boat to watch this run!

Maybe if it turns out good we should look at doing it annually? Be the hi light of the season!
