Rare Breed!
Just got back from a poker run in Sturgeon Bay, WI. Met some other OSO'ers and had a great time.
A highlight was when Rare Breed pulled in. What a CLA$$ act (except for the trailer that looked temporary). Randy Scism and his mechanic accompanied the owner to make sure the boat put on a great show. I hit a high speed of 94mph, but felt like I was walking when they ran away in the mid 130's! If you haven't seen this boat yet, its a pleasure version of the Tommy Bahama supercat. Eickert 1100's, surface drives, Herrings, etc. It's has a full cabin and super nice interior. Not much wieght savings that is visible. One Smoooooth Ride.... :D |

I talked to the mech and he replaced the shackles on the center axle before they pulled the boat out of the water. The hulls are built someplace in Green Bay. Their top speed was 132 on Sat.
I have alot of pictures of most of the boats out there before the run and while being pulled out of the water on Sat. I seen more Top Guns on Sat that I have ever seen! |
Say What? The hulls are built in Green Bay? I thought MTI was all from St Louis are. You don't mean the trailer was built in GB, do you?

I believe all of the race boats and the pleasure boats with big power are rigged here in St. Louis and the smaller powered boats such as 500 EFI's and such are rigged at Fountain....
But YES the hulls are built in Green Bay.....  |
i sure fountain is bulding the hulls in nc that is where the molds are
