easy... she takes debts, you take debts... you pay on them, she stops paying, my name is on the 2 shge decides not to pay the bills therefore ruining my credit, I could take her to court and fight stuff $$$ or pay them myself $$$$ credits messed up and I have the house, my boat and 3 vehicles are paid for so I can really care less about my credit score honestly... so when she does her bankruptcy that she claims she will do that frees me up to fix credit...

It's pretty unknown but you can also buy your credit back from the creditors. In short you offer cash and they go back to the credit agencies and say they made a 'mistake' and you weren't ever late / didn't miss any payments.

A financial attorney told me about this. Blew my mind.

Sounds like a sloppy divorce. When she took part of the debt, shouldn't have had your name removed as a guarantor and likewise have her removed from your debt. Either way, it sounds like a lot of debt!

I ****ing hate when people say this. Come down off your high horse.

Most people on here have bought a boat on credit at some point.

I bought my boat with a loan and my wife, friends and family have enjoyed a ton of time on it. If I'd have had to wait a couple years to buy it with cash that would have been a lot of good memories missed out on....

Yep.......sounds like living beyond means. Best of luck recovering from your "ex's" destruction tactics! Sounds like you both ran up the debt.
