If you see one up close the giveaway as to real or "display hull" will be found in construction (composite versus wood in the display hull) cockpit/canopy(f-16 type canopy with a bottom escape hatch as opposed to no bottom hatch in display hull) and hardware.(turn fin, rudder on extended bracketry on right rear of stern as opposed to non existent or minimal hardware on display hull) I would know if I saw the stern because most of my driving career that's all I saw
Although Bernie was Lakeland, FL based, the race boats were all Seattle (Tukwila) based.
