Just passed along a simple public statement from a very reliable source from a public website from a company that sells the product. Is there a reason not to believe it, i think its a great compliment to an awesome company who has a proprietary hull design, congrats to them.

http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/g...ml#post3869161 i think this is how most of the major news organizations work. some a-hole posts a story, (true or false who cares), then others comment on it and the a-hole points to his own story in a third person as proof. |

You're all just jealous because Orionsilverboat knew this information first. :party-smiley-004:

What I find comical is that after about 2 posts, everyone knows it's Jim Darr. They then proceed to call him Jim Darr and he doesn't even comment on it. Obviously, if it wasn't Jim, he would be asking what the hell they were talking about by calling him Jim. That should answer the question of who it is.:lolhit:

Darred......:lolhit:
In other news, SuperCat Cove will be opening this spring. LOL :D:D |
I emailed Statement and asked, got a very nice Email back from the SOURCE, they are in Miami at the show, will be testing next week and will post numbers. Damn nice guys (-:

Picture this: A rich guy goes to Statement and plunks down a-million-whatever for the boat. For him, its the perfect pen*s extention because now he is the big dog on the lake and everybody knows it. Besides having a less than admirable pen*s, he also lacks the talent to operate this kind of boat, but all that matters to him is that he now is king. On his maden voyage, he packs the boat will his friends, all of which are top earners. They leave the dock and 20-minutes later the guy blows the boat over at 180. Everyone on board is killed. The families of the passangers file a wrongfull death suit against everyone involved including Statement. In court, a mouthpiece with a nice suit says to Statement, "its your fault because you produced and sold this boat to a guy you should have known couldn't handle it". After a long and drawn-out trial, the jusy agrees that if but for Statement building and selling this boat to this guy, none of this would never have happened and they (the families) win a judgement against Statement for a "portion" of the lost income that the families of the victims now live without. Considering that all of these guys made north of $1M per year, and they were all in their mid-40s. Equates to tens of millions of dollars. I'm sure that Statement has excellent liability insurance, but to me, it just seems like a can of worms. ANYWAY, ITS ALL A MOOT POINT SINCE THE CONSENSUS IS THAT THE BOAT WILL NOT RUN NEAR THAT SPEED AND THE ORIGINAL POST WAS BS. What scares me is the guys in rental trucks, nothing more TERRIFYING than rolling down the highway and seeing some guy in a rented 24 or 30 foot cube van. Up until an hour ago, the biggest vehicle he has ever driven was his Honda Accord. A close 2nd is the retired, semi blind, semi deaf couple who decide to buy a 45ft 4 slide motor home and hit the highway! I do agree that SOME sort of licensing for REALLY fast boats is a good idea. Up here you need to pass a written test to operate a boat, but, it really doesn't teach you "how" to drive, more about buoys, navigating, stuff like that. |
How many cats did they make? And I also saw it on fast boats fb page.
