Statement 50 does 207mph
Just got the report that 207 is the number, must be the turbine 50 not the 1350 boat, if its the 1350 that would be the fastest so far. Showed pic of stray cat , did it have turbine before pistons
|
Wow.
|
So a pleasure statement with stock mercs is as fast as a race mystic with turbines??
|
If that is true, thats one hell of a top speed for that H.P.
|
Ya and my name is ****in JFK & I'm back from the dead to talk boats on OSO!! Wow and it's not even April fools. :lolhit:
|
WOW! Hope its true, they do have a Patented hull design. We all can agree there is no other Cat hull like it.
Lets not forget that most "manufacture numbers" are rarely what we see once we buy the boat. Plus, most of us agree the engines are not stock. Would not be surprised if they are actually Merc 1650's/1700's. They already admitted that a MTI has been running them for a while now. Either way congrats and looking forward to hearing more good about Statement Marine. What a great company, great people, and amazing boats! |
not for nothin but I'd have to see proof of that. If its true, then running anything but a plane at that speed isn't safe and offering that for sale to the general public is nuts. How many people have we all met who have much more money than brains? If any one of these knuckleheads get their hands on that thing people are gonna die

Nothing against statements, they are damn nice boats, and merc 1350s are sweet motors... but a "production boat" with "production power" comes within 13 mph of the propellpr speed record???

Same thing with Ferrari's, Lambo's, Bugatti's, etc. Heck even a bone stuck Honda Accord can go fast enough to kill ya if you can't drive. And as far as fast boats go, you can easily die in a 100 MPH boat too. At what speed do we say a boat is "too fast" and shouldn't be built or sold? |

I would like to think I can be the one to dicatate how fast i can go and not someone who "thinks" im too fast or what not. |
FIRST OFF ------

Why not just contact the Statement! guys and ask? I have found them to be SUPER nice guys and really approachable, could clear this up with one quick Email/phone call.I believe the first passion cat they had ran in excess of 180 with Turbines, not sure how much more efficient the new cat hull is?

I'm assuming this is the speed reached on GPS which would be a very nice number... I do remember Dave Scott when they were doing one of thier last runs at the shootout when he mentioned their GPS topped out at or near 220 but were only credited wih 208 when going through the traps... I don't doubt that any of these high hp boats could reach 200 with the right conditions. It's doing it in a mile with a rolling start thats most impressive... either way it's good marketing for them... congrats...

So your infavor of legislating Darwinism out of existance? It's like helmet laws. The government has no buisness telling anyone they have to wear one. But none the less if your foolish enough to go zipping around on your crotch rocket without one, maybe the deep end of the gene pool isn't for you....

Oh yeah, I have to see it to believe it; thats fact |
Hmm I spent over an hour with Nick and Todd on Thursday at the booth talking about their great boats and the patented tunnel design Todd must have left that little detail out of the conversation.
|
The new 1350 boat has only been run once and is nowhere near that speed, and the turbine has not broken 200 either. Both boats are beautiful however!

Either way it would be one helluva boat to own, and I would love to own but for me, it's only dreams I'm never gonna see. |
207? Did they drop it out of a plane? Or just the GPS ?

I think most of you realize the premise of this thread is hearsay.
But, since the thread exists... I am gonna take the opportunity to alert you guys to: http://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphoto...73493216_o.jpg A Statement plays a big role in the movie. Learn more on the facebook page or the company website |

Let's see the picture of the GPS. No way it ran 207mph!! Maybe 180mph with Turbines. Great thread to get everyone cranked up before LOTO and Desert Storm though... LOL |
....and this one time at band camp hahahahahahaha:party-smiley-004:

You guys do realize who started this thread... dont you?

No, who is Orion Silver?
The Statement owner or something? Joined the site this month. A week ago was asking what a tunnel tab is. This week is the king of cat speed knowledge. This whole thread is a joke. :bong: :hitfan: |

I was at The statement shop Thurs the 7th while Stray Cat was being finished up. Also was at the FPC party here in Miami Fri, and was talking to Nick, as well as at the show yesterday. Not a word was ever mentioned about anything like this. Stray Cat has only had it's shake down run for testing and I think if it was the Passion 50 with turbines Statement would be talking about this all day with smiles on their faces. While I love statement and their product. Your " source" is full of it. |

I was there the first time (see photo below). The second time was a setup test and had nothing to do with a speed run. Your 'source' is full of it. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8352/8...020388ea_b.jpg |
207 kph = 128 mph
