This was my friends boat stolen from his fenced in compound a mile from my house off 99th ST in Sebastian Florida. I helped build this boat and it is one of a kind and easy to identify.
Here's the part that really sucks. He told me today that they had a witness see the truck in the area at night, looking suspicious, then turned it's lights out and drove down their service road which is a dead end.
This witness called 911 and the dispatcher told her it was probably a repo in progress and not to worry about it. The dispatcher then did NOTHING!! The witness then saw them pull away w/the boat in tow!!!!!!!!!!
Bellow is his ad on craigslist. This boat was his life. Designed by him based off of a 25' Bertram. He and his son built it w/mine and others help. He built and sold two others and this was his demo/display boat.
Now he's fk'd.
Please keep your eye out for a good guy that did not deserve this.
Thanks, Gary
*For some reason this site is not allowing me to post the pix's*
Can someone smarter than me do us a huge favor and post the pix's on the link on this thread?

Thank you sir.
28' and 100% vacuum infused. The drains for the cockpit deck hatches are laid up in the floor and invisible even from the bilge. I learned much working there and and am still shy several layers of skin on my fingers from sanding the damn thing.
He used the best of everything. Cockpit and cabin decks are both teak.
Hull #1 went to the owner of Lenco Trim tabs an hr south of us and makes regular trips to the Bahamas. People on the docks come to a stop when he pulls in.

I thought that when a 911 call goes through, it is must that they check the situation out. I mean they arrest people for ordering beer and cigarettes via 911!!!! but not a legit tip. Now you must get hold of the recording for the insurance company, or at least pass this info to them.

Bummer. Although I bet there are a lot of repos that waste time that could be used better. The problem is you never know.......should have dispatched a patrol.
Someone wanted new yami's. The boat is too distinct to do anything with.

The motors were, I believe '05's.
4 stroke Yammi's are still at the top of the list for the fichse bote crowd around here regardless.
Sad part is, normally these things are on a barge headed for the islands before day break.
Was one local shop that had a similar boat stolen, posted a reward and did get the damn thing back.

from what I read on other sites the good news is he will probably get the boat back....the bad news is it will be sitting on the ground tied to some tree or some phone pole with no engines and no trailer on some crappy dirt road on the edge of the ghetto part of town

That sucks, I was right there a year ago getting my oil changed at Sebastian Automotive in my dodge truck and remember seeing boat molds . Did the guys from Sebastian Auto see anyone lurking around , they seemed to be a couple of good guys orginally from Staten Island. Tom
