The TUFF 21 ran 102mph with a 300x outboard.

Their TUFF 28 ran 95 with a stock 525 and no setup so it would obviously run over 100 with a 600 or 700.

I believe there is a link on here with a Howard 28 at 128mph, but I can't seem to find it.

There are 2 or 3 28' Nordic Heats doing 100 and change, takes north of 1000HP to do it.

Pretty sure there's at least one Superboat Y2K up there, not sure on exact HP, I'm thinking 850+ though...

do you have a standoff box on the kryptonite? i was wondering how much its needed. my buddy Ron had a 100 mph 29 with 740hp/standoff box/ shortie. id like to do more power in mine at some point (going 93 with 650) and keep wondering if a shortie and or standoff are needed

Standoff box makes it worse, weve set up 4 27s and 29s. Right on the transom is the way to go. Shortie, maybe. I have all the measurements from the ones weve rigged. With/without the box is a night/day difference...they handle SO much better without it.

Forgot to mention a 26 Checkmate ZT260 with one of our 1100s in it going 113

Worse how just out of curiosity?

I have a box on my heat, and from the research I've done it does nothing. I'm considering removing it.

Sorry for the thread creep-

When I was living in the metro Detroit area 25 years ago I remember some guy from the downriver area in a 23FT Checkmate single I/O running by me like I was dragging and anchor, and I was running 98 MPH on my Norskog Calibrated speedo in my 25 Checkmate blown NOS injected 468 motor! Never found out who he was but had to be going 120 or better. I would never have believed it I it didn't happen to me first hand. Always wanted to know WTF he was running for a set up!! never seen him again.
