if he was not interested in those molds then why did he partner with someone and then lease the molds back from the current owner before the partnership fell apart and the current owner took back control of the molds again because of not being paid on the lease by the company former in the partnership

Slonaker likes to be the "man" with the information. The insider. We all know that Big Chubby didn't even know who Polesmoker was until he was locked up.

I hope Chuck gets his boat.

I don't give a damn what Slonaker says and what Skater40 does with the molds.

Thats right Pip Squeak just running your mouth again with no knowledge. Skater40 could care less what you say or do. Hell shouldn't you buy a boat before coming on here and making comments?

Tell us all about the guy you killed Slonaker. And the guy whose boat you aimed an Uzi at and forced him to sink it. Tell us about those grandiose claims you've made.

I, on the other hand, have made NO claims, of boats either owned, or sold.

My boat is doing just fine. Matter of fact, I'm on it right now, having an ice cold martini.

GFY.

Chuck, again, I truly hope you get your boat.

As a builder and being heavily involved with Sonic before this debacle I basically am sick of seeing this thread and all the "in the know" that don't know shiit.

We all got heavily hit due to the economy and while I was surprised to see Frisini want to get involved with a luxury business in a failing economy I was hoping he succeeded.

I know Jay Pillini and he bailed at a good time. The money man behind Sonic knew when to get out. However he controls the property. It is sad and you can all now go and ride around in center consoles and sing their praise. Yeehaw.

If you want to invest in the boating business first have more than passion to stand on a dock act like a bigshot boat builder. Know how to turn a wrench, build a boat (laminate) and invest in your customers.

I am basically embarrassed to see grown men stoop to this level.

Now somebody kill this thread, please?

I personally love this thread! Im just waiting on Chuck to give us his detailed update that he said he would give last weekend.

This situation and the Pantera situations have absolutely nothing to do with a failing economy. They are custom builders who are paidIN ADVANCE for a product. Whether the economy is good or bad has no bearing on whether they finish the boat that they have been paid IN ADVANCE for. Its simple they are crooks and frauds who quite simply cannot run a business. What amazes me more than anything is how people like Chuck (and the list in the Pantera situations) firstly get into the situation and secondly how they seemingly lay back willingly and get shafted and cop the excuses for month after month after month about why their boat hasnt been delivered. Like what should it take 3 months to build a boat from scratch.

How there are not more of these types of boat builders walking around with broken legs (wheeling around in a wheelchair) or dead I do not know

So you enjoy a company failing and watching somebody take it in the shorts over something that is supposed to be fun? Really?

And I never used the economy as an excuse with what happened to Chuck and his boat. On the contrary. Frisini came in and took on Sonic after the economy tanked.

Watching boat companies fail that have been around forever is like watching your friends die as you get old.

The economy has EVERYTHING to do with these small boat company's failing to deliver product they have been paid for, their business is REAL similar to these scumbag home builders and this is no secret: Most of the time these guys (boat builders, home builders etc) are over extended and have no cash reserves, when times were good they spent it as fast as it came in living large, when things slow down they rob peter to pay paul/Ponzi scheme sorta thing- You agree to have them build a boat or house and put down a deposit, they start using the money to build the LAST guys boat they promised to have done long ago, you make payments and they use your money to pay their overdue bills, supplies and employees. I hire them to build a boat and they start using my money to finish YOUR boat. No one hires them to build a boat after mine because they are getting bad press and people just aren't spending money and next thing you know they are stroking me along and my boat isn't making progress and that 6 month build date turns into 2years. Throw in some bad business practices, bankruptcy, super high living expenses from having a mega house, and bad azz cars and boat builder isn't in the position to buy ANYTHING with his own money to build a boat to make me go away or if does have money has no conscience and will NEVER use own cash reserves to finish a boat. Not saying that's what happened in this case but happens more than NOT,. The builders that HAVE preserved used their extra cash to pay off their business/personal debt when times were good , pay their suppliers on the spot so not to get in debt and follow solid business practices, adjusted the size of their business to match the demand , they are still around and in business for a reason, Smitty
