I remember the ugly cat that was owned buy Vanilla Ice . It was black and had pink and teal stripes on it . Then he bought a 28 Pantera that he later sold to Lenny kravitz who somehow got it repossessed . That boat now resides in MD and has new motors and interior in it .

One of my boats was previously owned by a Hall of Fame Hockey Player. I don't know if that counts.

Just because you bang hotties doesn't make you a Celebrity, If that was the case you would be ranked up there with Tom Cruise. :poopoo::poopoo:

Vanilla's boat is one ugly cat, must have been painted in the 80's.

My first boat was owned by Mark Schroeder, owner and driver of the Devastator monster truck, and the annoncer for Monster Jam! Super guy. Did not know this when I first test drove the boat. The next day when I bought it and picked it up at his house the semi was parked there! Don't know if I was more excited over the Monster Truck and its hauler or my new boat!

glassdave 04-20-2013 08:58 PM

Well . . . . my current boat wasnt previously owned by someone famous but the next owner will claim it was owned by glassdave :D

eightsecmopar 04-20-2013 09:02 PM

My Bullet was supposably owned by Cyndi Lauper, I don't have any documentation on that but I know there was a thread on here about it. I do know it was owned by a famous record producer from New York, I can't remember the guys name right now. I have the information at work. When they owned it, the rear of the boat was green

I don't think it's a big deal but my wife likes to tell everyone

There were two identical 30' glass Cougars (UK/Miami) with wings and Kaama drives - sister boats. One was owned by Ross Perot and the other, which I bought (traded) from the "Riveted" guys, was owned by David Meriott of Meriott hotels.

32 Active Thunder 04-20-2013 09:57 PM

My buddy bought it without an engine or drive. It been rigged for a standoff box and he didn't want to run a standoff box. He couldn't find a drive that would cover the hole, so he had the transom re-done. These pictures we took it out in the off season to water test it (on the trailer). That is me on the right.

The detail in the gelcoat on this boat was amazing in person. The chrome things are part of the bunk support. There was a lot of chrome detail on the trailer. I believe Hot Rod magazine did a write up on just the trailer.

My buddy sold the boat to a guy in Reno, who put a blown 540 in it (i don't remember what drive) and ran it in the Desert Storm Poker Run last year. Last I saw it the guy in Reno had it on eBay, but I don't think it sold.

Your boat was actually given to Michael Mann during the shooting of Miami Vice. I do believe bad boys boat was a stock zrc from aqua toy store. It's the same one that was turned into a Ferrari boat.

TxHawk 04-21-2013 11:07 PM

Ross Perot - a couple 42 Fountains. Still runs on Texoma in triple 42
Dennis Rodman- 43 Scarab, 47 Fountain
Richard Matvichuk - 42 Fountain 3x 575sci
Troy Aikman - Sea Ray On Texoma years ago

Local boats I knew of over the years.
