Two seconds earlier and they would have been on top of the boat crossing the lake. Making excuses for keeping the throttle open when they obviously should have slowed is the ultimate arm chair quarterbacking IMO. It's not like it's a race! For me I am not going to bash those guys or say i would do it differently cause I wasn't there. We can all be the "I would would have stopped guy" but if you were not in their boat or shoes at that time how do you know that? Do you think they saw the scene and the boat and purposely kept on trucking out disrespect? I don't think so.....I am betting the confusion caught their mind but it didn't click untill someone told them or said something. I agree it's not a race but that topic has been beat to death when it comes to this and nothing has been done to change the event set up. |

We all love to go fast, but he should have backed off the throttles a bit! He let his EGO get in the way of good judgement!

How would they know with no signal, smoke, or anything?
They were a following pod well behind to actually see the event happen, so it could have been a number of things. When they are coming up they are going pretty hard on the throttle. I am betting some didn't even register what they might have saw when going by untill after the fact. Easy to arm chair when were not in the situation. |

I agree, if they were running speeds anywhere close to the first group, thier eyes were probably glued on what was in front of them.
