I bet if a rep from head office said they were going to change the readability of it or whatever everyone doesn't like about its appearance then the customers might just be patient enough to wait. But I very much doubt that is in the works.

Quesion.....Why did they even ask if we liked it and start this thread if they had no intention of responding?

I would respond but my grammer sucks and can't find the spellcheck button. I would add a smiley icon but that button appears to be gone on my screen and would love to preview my post but it seems to be MIA as well. So I will just shut up for fear of being banned.
Next question? 2. Smiley icon is right there where it ought to be... 3. Preview Post is available if you click "Go Advanced" instead of "Post Reply". As with most of these comments/issues, we're either working on a fix, or we've already fixed it, or the answer is just that the function is there in a slightly different spot. In no time, we'll all be as used to it as we were to the old layout -- but now we have better features and a more modern look. And mobile! |

We are in fact working on the readability issue; adding color, and changing the font type/size. It'll happen soon!
To be perfectly fair, it was a member that asked the "do you like..." question. If I were to post (which I did) it would be more in the vein of "Please report any bugs or comments here," etc., so we would have a more constructive discussion than 200 "it sucks" comments. But that's just me :) 1. There's no spellcheck button; if you're typing and you see a word underlined in red, it means that word is misspelled (that's how the spellchecker works now). 2. Smiley icon is right there where it ought to be... 3. Preview Post is available if you click "Go Advanced" instead of "Post Reply". Have you looked into the mobile readability. I love how every thread only has two or three letters then starts a new line. Good news, each thread and post makes for a long read. Bad news, I no longer have interest in visiting the site.

unsuccessful
Like almost every reforms at nowadays |
I stillllllll can't see thee reedd lines for mis spelled words, sorry.

From an android phone. All the pics are compressed width wise and stretched height wise. The only way they display in the correct format is if I hold phone sideways. The quickjump section does not display all the forum sections either The curser does not work properly when typing these replys, if you try to manually move curser to insert or correct something it jumps around all over the place making impossible to go back and place a period between "either The" in my last sentence. Even if that's fixed it still looks like garbage.

Hey bud Why did you choose LEVEL3 CHAOS. ? Was. WESTCOASTCHEERLEADER taken ? :lolhit: |
This new platform is a complete joke.
The UI has ruined the forum. I can't believe the owners approved this!!! |

Think about it this way, you have a resteraunt, a very large portion of your customer base is regulars. You completely redid your establishment without asking your loyal customer base for significant input or warning. Now the table talk between the regulars is that THE REMODEL WAS A FAILURE. Your answer is that your looking at new lamp shades and different steak sauce. Do you understand your customer base? These patrons of yours are predominatly type A successful people who are used to getting what they want, when they want it and how they want it. Your customer base dines on steak, they are not your dollar menu koolaide drinking sheep. Treating them as such will leave your customer base feeling disrespected, trivialized and insignificant. These people like fine dining and your trying to feed them cold French fries and now telling them that your trying to get them an extra packet of ketchup. have you read any of the multiple page threads here Mr. Corporate IB? The general jist here is that these customers of your venomously attack anything but exemplary customer service. You customer service is lacking. Im not sitting here bashing, I am offering you reality. |
Very hard on the eyes trying to read the new layout

I don't see where people aren't being patient.
Someone asked a question when they started this thread. People are voicing their opinion. Doesn't make them whiners. The only impatient one is Artie. |
I'm not going to make a giant issue out of this change, but it is certainly nowhere near as easy to peruse the threads you want to view on the forum pages. Overall, not a fan, but I'm not going to over react or go away like some others. Puhleese...it's a message board, I don't see this many people upset at our broken government.

Don't like it. It took a while just to figure out how to log in and reply to this thread. My browsing time is very limited, if it stays this way I won't be wasting anymore time here.

I've been bouncung around thee websites I frequent that have the same software as OSO and the only thing I find slightly different is OSO seems to have a slightly lighter font color.
|
Goin' Typo...
Long line lengths are hard to read-
you lose your place during backsweep. Until they get all the tweaks in, you could reduce your browser window on desktop to make it easier to read. Also, serif faces are easier to read at small sizes. books are printed in serif fonts because the serifs help your eye move more smoothly from one letter to the next. This is Georgia. |
Background colors and default font style color and size should be easily changeable on a global level with a few simple clicks. Its not rocket science.

No I don't like it. Its too hard to read just like alot says. Hope it get fixed soon.
|
No

Haven't read the 39 pages before, and probably has been mentioned may times, but........ Th biggest complaint I have with the format is the blue font, on the light blue background is difficult to read, and the bold blue font for unread topics does not stand out compared to the regular blue font.
My suggestion is keep the light blue background, and switch to black font. |
I do not like this formatting at all. Why change a good thing, WTF
|
No...if it's not broke...don't break it...but they broke it anyway.

OOOOhhhhhhhhh! Hey Now!
|
Read ???
And I thought most people just came to look at photos ... :lolhit: On that note, I just place a low res image in a thread that had no images and I watched the pic load like I was on dial up. WOW ! I can see now why the complaints are coming in about being slow... They may have wanted to trial test this new forum a bit longer before launching it. Apparently a lot of people are unhappy by the looks at most of the comments. |
NO ! Does anyone approve of it, who decided to change it and why? This will be one way, for sure to keep the traffic LOW.
|
No I do not care for it, the format is beat

ieSpell - CNET Download.com CNET gave it a good review and placed it on their site for download. 4-star user rating from almost 400 users. It's not malware. If you had a bad experience with it, you may have downloaded it from an untrustworthy site, or your computer has other issues ;) |
The one I downloaded from HERE a few months ago completely jacked my laptop up.
