I would think changin the colors back would not be so hard? They are probably working on other more pressing problems at this time. There are some issue with flow from one forum to another that I see as being the largest issues. All my screen is white and my writing is black. Not sure how that can be hard to read that is 100% contrast. Try turning down your brightness a little.

It sucks! I cannot post from my iPad by clicking reply to thread. I'm not on as much as I use to be and it looks like I will be on less now. It's sad that this site is no longer what it was.

Took me a minute to get used to it, but I'm finding I like it BETTER on my iPad. In stead of "reply to post" you can use the quick post and all the bells and whistles are there. To add attachments or smilies, go advanced.

I hate change as much as the next guy but generally change can be better once you get passed the initial uncomfortableness :D

Everyone keeps mentioning oso can be used on their ipad and iPhone now. News flash....I've been using oso on my ipad and iPhone exclusively since I joined. I don't even have a pc at my house because we have 4 iPads and 4 iPhones. Point being is the site worked for me before and now I've had issues using the new ipad and iPhone friendly site.

Have to agree with GD. I don't think the site is bad since the change and like the fact you can like comments now. As for the iPhone or iPad issues, I have not seen them as of yet. I do think they should have left the option to change the skin back to the other way if you like, like a lot of other v. Bulletin sites. Just have to get use to it.

In addition to other comments, the drop down menu to switch to another forum section just disappears for example when I try to jump from the general to the tech section or elsewhere. Instead of being able to do a quick look see, I'm spenidng too much time navigating.

I should point out: the new Mobile site has NOT rolled out yet. What you see when you browse OSO on mobile devices is still the pre-mobile-optimized experience. As soon as that's tested internally, we'll roll it out and post an alert here so everyone can see it and decide if they prefer browsing the "full" web site, we we always have, or to use the new mobile skin; and we'll should you how to switch from one to the other easily too.

When you misspell a word in a post you're about to make, it gets underlined in RED.

I'm still not quite sure what's missing from what was on the old version of the site as far as spellcheck goes. And I don't knwo what the ABC button is? Nothing should ask you to download anything, so that sounds like it's maybe a feature of your browser and not OSO?

When you misspell, the bad words should appear underlined in red, like this. That's how spellcheck works now.

We're still working on the "remember me" functionality.

BUT, if you have to log in every time, that's a browser issue; try clearing your cache/cookies. You should not have to log in every time you come to the site unless you log out, so your browser is probably set to auto-log you out. Be sure to click "remember me" when you log in.

There have been some issues with ads overlapping posts -- that's a definite BUG we've been addressing. It will be resolved :)

I don't want to subscribe to threads just to stay tuned. Plus, if everyone has to "subscribe" to staybtuned, it's really gonna bog the servers.

I don't have ad pops or other similar, but logging in was and is a requirement on my ipud and my home pc. Was not an issue before.....so it's not on this end.

Last....the all white really is a deterrent.

I am am sympathetic to your plight. Clearly, you drew the short straw and are now the sheeting post.....sorry for that. Not a great project to be the point person on. Thanks for your replies, fixes and constant feedback.

With that said, I suggest a recommendation to sr mgmt (assuming you are middle and have budget approval restrictions) a series of "update videos" accessible by members interested in learning the new site. I am....but not by trial and error. If you look at my recent activity, and many others, you will notice a huge slump in activity for specific ip's. This is not an example of a user friendly "upgrade".....so concessions should not be excluded..I.e.....creating a transition forum or site learning forum....with the option for skin change.
