OK, so who's heard about Hustler getting involved with Checkmate? It's been a rumour, and talked about on the Checkmate forum for a week or so now. Some of the guys wanting parts have been phoning almost daily. For a while there was no answer, then one guy got an answer for Hustler boats and now it's Checkmate again. Sounds like the doors are either open again or will be soon. Us Checkmate guys are thrilled the brand may not be dead yet.

Not to burst your bubble of hope but Hustler did the same thing when they were trying to acquire Fountain when they were up for grabs.

One thing to consider, if Hustler isn't selling boats like gangbusters then why take on another line if they suffered from slow sales also. Miami Show is the only place I see Hustlers in Florida. Boats are beautiful but I don't see people buying them like Nortechs, OLs, Cigs etc.

Check out this thread on Checkmate forums. Look at post #56 where I start posting. Doug Smith and his daughter ripped me off for $48K, and I'm not the only one. Economy didn't kill Checkmate, old fashioned GREED did!

Note the 43 punisher had a 75k price drop last week (249k now) so maybe if they sell it they might be able to deliver the 3 motors to Randy!

The 43 is owned by the dealer who bought it. Checkmate has already been paid. They just don't believe in paying anyone else.

WOW, that is BS, Wildman! I hope you get your money back. Seems to be a lot of unsavory characters in the boating industry.
Good luck-

My point isn't about the details, blame game, situation....I just don't care. Again, find a way, persevere, and take ownership of your situation. Having a negative outlook and blaming others will not find you success, and if you are already successful that bitterness can end it quickly.
But having a negative view of everyone and everything they think is cool? Well, as long as you control what you can control I guess huh.....
