WTF?!?! How the phuck did this thread turn into a soap opera??? 4BUS - Relax... Go tug something with your Tundra... Regardless of how undersized your truck is for pulling your mammoth of a boat... that's your issue... no one else's. When you have a mechanical failure, whether it be brakes, structural, drivetrain, ect., its alright... Just make sure to explain to the OP that you thought since it towed the space shuttle, you were good. BTW, I am not throwing darts at you... just throwing them with you...

And 10,000+lbs
Classes of License:
The Federal standard requires States to issue a CDL to drivers according to the following license classifications:
Class A -- Any combination of vehicles with a GCWR of 26,001 or more pounds provided the GVWR of the vehicle(s) being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
To determine if a CDL is required, the manufacturer's gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicles must be determined.
- Class A CDL – Required to operate a combination vehicle (truck and trailer) if the GVWR of the trailer is 10,001 pounds or more, and when added to the GVWR of the power unit (truck), the gross combined weight rating (GCWR) is 26,001 or more pounds.
But with that being said I believe this only applies to those driving for hire and commercial services.
Just wondering what headaches the owners of HD trucks have to deal with as a daily driver?

Seems like transom straps would have helped at the beginning of the race! A Tundra towing a 47 Fountain would have won that race hands down!

This thread cracks me up. If you gonna tow with an under rated truck good for you! When something fails and you kill some one on the highway you better hired a gun slinging attorney. That's all I have to say about that!!!!
