There's a reason they are also called lift rings.

Except a bow eye with that placement has an intended use of winching the boat on the trailer. I don't think it is intended to lift the boat and definitely not for dragging it on plane with an extra 3000 or so pounds of water in the boat! So, I agree with MT it is pretty amazing.

Glad everyone is okay.

Like this one for example: 2006/2012 CIGARETTE TOP GUN GT 38' COMPLETELY OVERHAULED, READY TO GO in Powerboats & Motorboats | eBay Motors

I only asked Sy about it since someone argued that fresh water submersion is not that bad and other than drying it out/fixing electronics the boats are fine.

That's a shame, that's a nice looking GUN... It pays to be a member of this offshore community when it comes to buying IMO especially now days...seems like you can post or ask and 95% of the time someone will know something about it. Amazes me how some still try and get one over on the buyers now days.

That is the VERY way that the former owner of this site found it. He was investigating a 28' PowerPlay he was interested in and heard it had sunk.

He is responsible for what OSO is today due to his vision and efforts.
