Default Thanks David!

My home page has been taking along time to load for last couple of months. Being the PC geru that I am, just lived with it.

Also got tons of those pop ups since then!!!!!!

Found 56 Gain & Gator gone!
These got downloaded when I installed the latest version of Audio Galaxy a couple of months ago and couldn't figure out how to get rid of them. DUH!

Everything is great and fast once again.
Some people are like Slinkies - Not really good for anything, but they
bring a smile to your face when pushed down the stairs.

The POP up ads come from others links......not OSO. Guys that use those free picture servers or low-cost websites often have pop-up ads that...............well, pop up. So if you click on someones link, it opens a new window, and possibly stupid pop up ads too.

Click on Start then find and search for a program called Gator. If you have it, delete it. Pop ups will stop.

Default Ridding of pop-ups.

There are a TON of programs known as ad ware, or spy ware, that sneak their way in when installing some common programs. Use AD Aware. it will find and remove them for you. Some of these programs will track your browsing habits, and report back to marketing company's central computers. For sites that do use pop up ads, there are browsers out there that allow you to disable them. one of the best ones that i have found is opera. Another plus of using a less popular browser, is that most hacking utilities and viruses are written to take advantage of security flaws in microsoft internet explorer.....

OK, now what, I downloaded it, installed it and ran it. It found 12 files, they are all .exe files that look like they are system files or windows files.
