There have been incidents in the 1000 islands in the past , some on poker run weekends.

The police I'm sure are being told to ramp it up by the locals.

That neighbourhood smells of $$$$$$$.

Take a look at some of the places along there.

I've been to drivers meetings there on more than one occasion where the local police stood up and said we weren't wanted.

Unfortunate. That may be the residents position but maybe they ought to ask the food, beverage & retail owners!!

Received my "welcome to Alex bay" message about 8 yrs ago. Light house to light house 35 mph they had the sound meter out too but let that one ride.

No question some of the richest people in th world have homes on private islands in the area. Always amazes me to find out the business owners and inventors that have vacation homes in the area.

Performance boats are and always will be the minority. And the fact that we fill the bars until 2 am doesn't seem to have much pull in any argument.

I totally agree last year I worked the summer at obreins boat rentals in the bay beside the river edge and Hutchinson I worked there with 2 kids who went to school and lived in the bay they had no idea the weekend of the poker run and when I told them they said it was stupid they also thought there hydrostreams could out run the sonic but it doesnt get the community support or recognition it deserves but ever body in town seem to love it when. 1000 motorcyclist and there bikes come to town
