Coolerman 07-14-2013 11:23 AM

The boat must have burned him out..... or at least his hand.

obnoxus 07-14-2013 11:28 AM

self cooled motors !!

johnnyboatman 07-14-2013 11:56 AM

I wanted to see the blond in the pass seat. 150.000 crazy 1997

buck183 07-14-2013 12:11 PM

This one is a LOT easier on the eyes than the last Scarab he had for sale.

Buck

ILMORdude 07-14-2013 12:15 PM

Pretty sure this one had a bunch of updates recently. And Coolerman, that was good. How did he fry his hand anyways?

242LS 07-14-2013 12:17 PM

A lot of $$$, but a very nice looking boat (& Ilmors).

The add made me laugh:

"Manufacturer: Wellcraft
Type: Cigarette"

JasonSmith 07-14-2013 12:25 PM

$150k! Is there $100k cash in the cuddy?

JETTDOGG 07-14-2013 01:14 PM

What model scarab is that boat?

Great looking boat and love the power but that price is a bit crazy.

would someone buy that boat at that price because a washed up celebrity owned it ? never understood how celebrity ownership raises the price of some material item

maybe not at that price but yeah someone will buy it just to say "this was hulk hogans boat" and get 25k or more for it. it is a clean boat and has been taken care of....so it is a good boat and has a lil swag to it

ratman 07-14-2013 08:59 PM

i bet it will take a lot of scrubbing to get the stanky dead fish smell out of the cabin area....

MonkeySea2 07-15-2013 09:37 AM

Good looking paint job and a nice boat. But 150K just because Hulk Hogan owned it?!?! Who gives a crap who owned it!!

Indy 07-15-2013 10:19 AM

Maybe it's me but I'd think that a big time entertainer like HH would be running around in a new OL or Skater or something.

FunHome 07-15-2013 12:10 PM

What does it say on the sides?? Whatever it is.. It's on the hatch, seats, and his back....

I didn't know what the Ilmors added to the boat value but that seems reasonable

Twin illmors, custom paintjob, new dash and interior, celebrity owned. You think this scarab is only worth 50k?
The price is high but not that high....110-125k is my guess.

johnnyboatman 07-15-2013 02:06 PM

In todays market you can buy a outerlimits, fountain, skater, etc . It is a real nice boat but its still a 97 scarab, just like when we add big power and drives to our boats there still just what they are.

n20michael 07-15-2013 03:12 PM

"Immortal"? Shame he can't say the same thing about his career, lol

I guess it's no worse than the pylon who goes to Barrett Jackson and buys a bone stock 1980 Porsche 911 for 100K just because Seinfeld owned it for a week.

While that is true. His beach club over here BLEW up and is the most crowded and packed beach bar anywhere in the tampa/Pinellas area.

I for one hate it as the crowd is not my taste but he is killing it currently witht that place.

Back on track I would put that boats value over $50.....**** I was just in that price market. Trust me, your not getting that clean of a boat with great power like that at $50k. It damn sure isn't worth $150k or close though maybe the $75k-$90k area I would think is a fair value on that boat.

spazboz 07-15-2013 04:12 PM

I wonder if he tears his shirt in half everytime he takes it off when he gets in the boat.

No kidding. His career was a joke. Very short time as a wrestler and no one even knows who he is now.

I agree, I saw one in great shape with 454 Mags the other day for free. You just had to come pick it up. I passed, it wasn't worth it.

Captain YARRR 07-15-2013 04:44 PM

With the upgrades and the illmors, I would definitely buy that thing for 75k if it checked out and I was in the market.

You will never find a boat like this that actually passes a survey with motor testing for 50k. Who knows if this one will either. I have just bought a boat and my budget was in the 50k range. I surveyed 3 boats, drove and flew to see many. The most frustrating few months for me. I found out that the great deals are far and few between on clean hulls with good motors. I spent over 3k traveling and having boats surveyed and inspected to find out they just weren't what they should be. The 33 scarabs sell above 50k in the late 90's. For 150k I would sure buy something else. As would most people. But no way is a boat like that ever going to be in the 50's. Just my 2 cents.

Really noone knows who Hulk Hogan is?
Where do you live under a rock?

AttitudeJr 07-15-2013 06:36 PM

Not that it matters but hulks ex wife took almost everything he made and if you google her she is with 20 million and Hulk is only worth 3-5 million

boatlessatm 07-15-2013 07:06 PM

Very clean, nice looking boat!

What everyone think te top speed would be? Modern engine with "old technology" hull

She did but he is doing well. He is treated like anyone else in these parts as he has been here forever. He is easy to make jokes about but I have meet him many of times and had mutual pals back in the day. He's a cool dude for the most part.

Also he has some good biz going on and it shows....his new digs on Clearwater beach is no shack at all.

Velocity Vector 07-15-2013 07:31 PM

I have restored a few boats and can see getting that much money in it, The sad part is you can't get it out of it. You have to build it, like it, and use it but shame on you if you have to sell it. Nice boat though. I have always liked Hogan his good people.

You're kidding right? The dude's so famous just being in his family makes you famous. I think he wrestled for 30+ years, but yeah that's a short time for a pro "athlete," not to mention he's the most famous wrestler ever I'd argue.

If this is worth $50 then mine's worth $10k......not worth $150k but you'd be on crack to think you could or should buy this for $50.

I thought the blatant sarcasm would be apparent in both of my posts, making a smiley redundant. :party-smiley-004:
