Default Formula Fastech 382 SR1 Gauges

I have a 382 sr1 fastech and need to replace my oil gauges because the mechanic said that when the engines were rebuilt it has American senders and the gauges I have are European. Can anyone help me on which are the ones I need and where to get them inexpensively?

by "European" I assume he means you have the VDO gauges? Is it an older SR1 or a fstech?

Thanks. I appreciate it. Is it better to change the senders or the gauges? 8 was this king of maybe changing all the gauges.

Just depends on what your after! Changing a sender is a $40 job, changing gauges on the other hand can get expensive fast

Arite isn't the sr1 the pre fastech go fast hual that formula made.. or am I worng? Now I think if u r doing one or two you should do them all. So I would say do the sending units

That's correct. 97 was the first year for the stepped fastech hull, but the cabin interior and black dash was carried over from the non-step SR-1.

I had the same issue, got my vdo senders through napa . Remember on the fuel gauge that sender would have to be changed too if you were to do gauges. Vdo is pretty much backwards from everybody else
