IMO being a former spec racer and going back into spec(same motor specs) and former bracket racer, the brackets are actually harder for me as its real easy to mash the throttles down, it takes every bit of strength to pull back
Spec motor racing sounds fun with no limits but an engine, bracket racing not so much. I do understand safety, but I figured it would be more so the cost. Now with the 44ft cats out there, 135mph seemed a bit slow to bracket the speed down.

Do they do this every race?

Hi Brad!

The weather wasn't great but it was still a good day to be by the water and watch these guys battling it out on the course. If you love high performance boats then this is the place to see, hear and watch these guys putting the throttle down and not lifting till the end of the race or until they break. I want to thank the racers and their teams for putting on this show and thanks the City of St. Clair and the BWORA/OPA for putting on this race every year.
