A buddy of mine has crashed at a placed called the Leisure Inn... close to a lot of the fun joints and pretty inexpensive if you book it online (orbitz, etc.) Might be an option...

Looking for a nice dock (sturdy and out of the washing machine) as well as a room. Another question, what about noise limits? I hear that after dusk, the DB limit goes way down. Not that I even want to try for a ride after dark, but thought if we got caught in the crowd watching the shootout, we might end up getting back to the dock a little late since I won't be mixing it up in the lunacy.... I have open exhaust, not too loud, but I don't have Captains Call.

Dog Days will be where the festivities are Friday evening. Board member WILD organizes a nice party there and the docks get full of cool toys. It's also where the "fun run" starts from that morning.

Call Neil at Kapilana Resort in Osage Beach. Walking distance to Dog Days, approx 1/2 way between Captain Ron's (Shootout) and Camden (Skaterfest). Close to Backwater Jacks and the poker run on Friday. It is also pretty inexpensive. Oh yea, also close to PB2, where you can launch and store your trailer. You also do not have to be a mountain goat to get to and from your boat! There are nicer places, but fewer more convenient.

I wouldn't be too worried....as long as you're sober. Unless it's REALLY obnoxious, the "loud exhaust" would more than likely just be a reason to stop you to see if you've been drinking. Speed limit at night is 30 mph, so you'll just be lugging along anyway.

Thanks for the info! Called Neil last night and reserved a 2 bedroom condo and a 32ft slip! Can't wait!

Another quick question. How far by land will it be from Kapilana to Cpt Rons by land and water? Looking at the map, it's quite a ways.
