How to clean stainless exhuast pipes.
I have some brown looking stains on my Corsa exhuast tips that I can't seem to clean.
I have tried: 3m Cleaner wax Aurora boat scrub (kinda got rid of some of it) Lime away Ringo Wads of cotton imprenated w/ metal cleaner (forget the brand name) Harley Davidson cleaner / detail spray None of these did anything except the boat scrub took a bit of the stain off. any ideas??? |
Try the Ring Go. I used it and it took it off of mine. That chit works great on stainless!

Only one choice; back to the polisher...

I always use that CLR stuff (Calcium, Lime and Rust), that I get at the hardware store. Gray plastic bottle, green label I think. I leave a soaking rag on the tips and they always come clean.
Good Luck DS |
Every time I pull out I spray the boat with vinegar and water mix out of a pump type insect/weed sprayer. I use a beach towell and it wipes the calcium spots right off. It takes a little wiping on the tips but it looks great and the boat is ready to go next time! Greg

Flitz metal polish works well on Stainless.

the best I have found is LimeAway....when I pull it out of the water.....the exhaust is blackened and just pour it on and wipe it off. Yes there are others........but this is the best for me

Duckies (sp) also works well for calcuim deposits. I just spray it on the Corsas and wipe off.
