Default Looking for 25-28 ft boat with Large cockpit

Anybody have any suggestions for a closed bow boat in the 25-28 ft range with a large cockpit? I really don't need a large cuddy cabin and would rather have the space to haul passengers in the cockpit. I've looked at a Baja outlaw 25 and 26, but the cockpits are tiny. Thanks.

i dont know of any boat in that range that would have a huge cockpit , because they arent huge boats . the 28 active thunder has a decent cockpit though i believe . if passengers are the biggest concern wouldnt a mcob be best ?

I believe nightlife on here is selling his boat and it has a large cockpit area. Let me see if I can find a link.

Don't know what exactly you're looking for.

There is a very nice Donzi ZXO for sale in the classifieds. Its a MCOB, but still a go fast style.

I'm thinking Powerquest may be larger. If you think Baja is tiny you may have a tough time. When I was looking for that size boat Baja was one of the larger ones aside from my VIP. Larger than what you mentioned but a Baja 33' has a huge cockpit. Another option would be a west coast boat, they tend to have more space, 25' Shockwave comes to mind.

A 28 AT won't have a large cockpit. My 32 AT cockpit is comfortable with 5 peeps and gets tight with 6.

Not too much out there, as far as go fasts, with a large cockpit. The boat I'm looking at buying after mines gone is a 31 and still not very big.

Have you considered a sport cruiser? You have the best of both worlds, a go fast attitude with a cruiser feel. Check out the 280SC Powerquest or the comparable 270 (I think it's a 270) Formula. We love our 280PQ. I wanted the go fast feel/sound and my wife loves to pack people on the boat so that's why we ended up with the PQ. We can easily fit 8 adults comfortably in the cockpit area. May get a little crowded if everyone is trying to move around all at once, but once they are in place it's not bad at all. You could probably squeeze 10 adults, but they would all have to be tiny. lol You will sacrifice some speed compared to a normal go fast, but that's a choice you will have to make. I've had our PQ up to 65 with just me and the wife on the boat with a quarter tank of gas, but we also have the twin 496HO engines. With a bunch of people on board I've had her up to about 57mph, cruises nice around 40mph. There's a 280SC PQ in the classifieds section now that's for sale. They are not asking a lot for this boat IMO. http://www.offshoreonly.com/classifi...o52720-en.html

Good luck in your search.
