Dollar for dollar, the whipple stage II PCM flash (IMO) offers the best performance upgrade. At least it did in my boat. The Velocity hull responds very well to small HP increases..... The PCM flash, gave me a huge lift in mid-range torque and maybe 2 MPH at WOT. Some will argue the PCM flash doesn't help at all. I think upgrades will all depend on the hull. If you are going with a heavy boat, I would suggest just leaving the motors as they are and just enjoy the hundreds of trouble free operating hours the 496 has to offer.

Ya It's an 8400 lbs dry boat with twin 496's and a top speed as is of about 68mph.

I would love to break the 70 mark but it's not a must at all and don't want to spend thousands on thousands for a very minimal gain.

I loved it when I was looking at it crawling all over. Lots of great features, great lines, and very clean.

Change the cams, ECM programming and drill the TB and make them HOs. Around 100 hp.

They say "496 MAG HO" on them. Not sure if that's different.

Sorry, thought they were mags, NOT HOs.

Seems crazy the boat is that slow. I have a PQ with same power and will run 80. Weighs a bot more too.
