I agree and I didn't mean the 3-4's others were talking about. The 27' that I am accustomed to riding in has a 12" ext box and 380 K-Planes.
Shoot, I'm not a fan of 3-4's on my 30' boat.

And as mentioned above it can be a handful around 70mph and you need to know how to drive through it. The boat becomes more stable at 80-95mph.

Not sure if a 27 fever is the way to go. They sure do like to dance.. that is just my thoughts but,I have had many hours at the helm of 27's and 29's love both boats! I would feel more safe on a 29' at the speeds your wanting. Both great boats in some good choppy conditions as for big rollers lets face the facts they will not span the gap you will get wet period. Great for smaller water or calm days in the big water.

27'Progression putting one together now whippled 525efi. Drove one at 90 mph in 3's like it was on rails,well built custom boat.
