It was something like this, De-Magic Infinity 16 ft came with Chysler 105hp blew it up 2 summer bought a used Mercury Black Max 150 hp. Boat weight about 750 lbswithout motor would run 77 mph from a Tx State trooper radar, buddies Dad about all in the water was the prop you didn't do it on rough water. Hellava lot of fun, I think I should have died a couple of time racing it but I guess bullet proof or just heavily lubricated :) |
Really appreciate all the responses, very cool to see where everyone started from.
small boat + big outboard = chiropractor appointment/sunburn (which ever comes first) |

18 FT Sanger flat bottom drag boat, Casale V-drive, 22% overdrive gears, 427 chevy, tunnel ram, 660 center squirts. what a rocket 30-90mph. It had a clutch so I could have it running while waiting to pull skiers. popped up 10 skiers no problem. One of the many downfalls was you would enjoy it for 30 min and work on it for 2 hours!! great boat to learn how to drive at speed!

age 9 or 10, Dad bought home an old tri-hull bare hull about 12' long. 25hp offbrand outboard,. Loved that boat even though I grew up sailing. Worked offshore in the oil industry for years and lost interest in boats and water until I bought a 19' Taylor jet boat in the mid eighties. My passion for the water and boating is as strong as it ever was.
