Non nautical names of boats
 

Everybody asks me what the name of my boat is. I have thought about naming it " Whiskey Girl" after the lyrics in Toby Keith's song because my boat is "Ragged-on-the-edges". Twin turbo carbureted big blocks do not like to run at all when cold. What names have people given their boat that are not a nautical theme?

my 18' v drive flatbottom is named Fandango. it is a fast paced spanish dance which is about what it is like to run it.

"Runnin' on Empty" after the Jackson Brown song. By the time my wife and I hit the water on the week end we are both running on empty.

Seabiscuit. Like the famous horse that was considered no good and brought back to win again. Also my kids show horses, so when not on the lake I am at the barn.

I name all my boats after songs..

Wicked Game- 29 Fountain

Smooth Operator- 42 Trip Fountain

Serenity- 42 Stag Fountain current bucket...

Blown Paychecks- Had a 525SC and blew countless paychecks on redoing the boat.
Offshore Bank Account- Cause its where I seem to "invest" my money

Drop Out.......................lets say I thought I had better things to do rather then go to high school.

Rocinante and aldonza, were the names of my father's 72 defever trawler and 44 garlington sportfish... google them for a laugh... my dad had a great sense of humor...rm

Ass, Gass or Grass...... Name came with boat and covered in 15 coats of clear, so guess I'm keeping it

My late mothers maiden name was Santucci boat is named "Sand-2-Sea"

Badda Boom Badda Bang. Previous owner was Italian. We were going to change it but he died on a Harley in Sturgis a couple years back. Out of respect, it will keep its name as long as we own it. RIP Pete.

almost no one knows the movie Fandango but that is where I got the name from. I thought it applied well to the flatbottom.

My Stryker is called "In Constant Trouble" named after an ongoing phase in my life :drink:

ROYAL PAIN$ ..... it was named liquid asset when i got it but changed the name because since the first time i used it , it has been a royal pain in my a** and nearly broke me .... still love it though

i named my scarab "FAST TALKER" me and my father are both auctioneers and he named his 60 foot trawler fast talker. he passed away with cancer in march and it was only right to name my boat the same, i probably wouldnt even be into boats if not for him. RIP popps i miss u! that was harder then i thought. the coolest i have seen was a bad ass custom cig the name was "I AINT SELLIN IT"

A friend of named his Hockey Hiatus and the guy in the slip next to him named his First Mate...........Then Leave. I did see one this summer in small letters it said Still Spending in big letters it said Their Inheritance thought it was funny

There was a nice OL around me named "I know" always loved the name for whatever reason.
