Something that just came to mind would a 6,000lbs lift work for my boat? Or should I go 7,000lbs? Seeing that my boat weighs 4750lbs. Add the additional weight of fenders, ropes, 2 anchors, batteries, and gas. I want to be safe and not have to worry. I've made the decision to keep my boat in the long run. I'm not going to upgrade to a bigger boat.

I have a 226 Cobalt that we purchased a 5000# lift - with cover, electric 24V lift. We purchased it from Hardy Dock in Three Rivers Michigan
Phone: (269) 816-3325
The guy to speak with is Robbie- I know he has got a variety of sizes to fit all kind of boats.

He's a good ol boy but he cut us one heck of a deal

all the best

I would want more margin of error in that calculation if it was me. 1250 lbs isn't much. For me we lift the boat with people, coolers and kiddos all the time. That can add an extra 1000 lbs instantly

Thank you there I'll play it rather safer and go with 7000lbs lift. With my boat it's ideal for lakes and rivers. It's not at all necessary for me to get a bigger boat. I truly enjoy my boat. I'm not going to use it on the Great Lakes at all.

Actually boat lift price depends upon the following category:
Cantilever Boat Lifts - Pricing starts at $700 - $2200

Vertical Boat Lifts - Pricing starts at $1800 - $9000
Hydraulic Boat Lifts - Pricing starts at $6500 - $19,000

Elevator Boat Lifts - Used for larger boats 1500 lbs to 16,000 lbs
