I just switched to a nortech cat from a Scarab after about two years of research and soul searching. I knew it would change the way I boat and cost more $$$$ but I was ready for a change. The 'hop' most people talk about was a concern but it doesn't take long to master it. The need for speed bit real fast as 120 wasn't enough so I put twin turbos on it. First run I was around 130 and the boost line came off a wastegate. Long story short one motor stopped running (of course it had to be the one with power steering pump) but the boat didn't get out of hand any worse than the v boat at around 70. So far the cat is more stable and more fun than I expected. My gf didn't want to switch but now she tells me to sell the scarab cause it'll never get used

Cat's are not a sickness... It's powerboats in general! I wish I could've invented a pill or a patch for the whole HP / fast boat / water / bikinis thing years ago. I would be a billionaire! I would be able to give away a new MTI/Skater a month all year long just for kicks

That is why my Jaguar is listed for sale. Time for another one. Someone will get a great deal on this one. I believe in "give a deal to get a new deal". Doug
