Glad you enjoyed it. The reason I had to stop at the end was my hatch flew all the way open! It uses an old original merc trim pump and outdrive piston setup that Don used for the hatches on these boats, which was low on fluid apparently - in this video you can see it starting to come up. Worse than that was that all six beer bottles were broken in the cooler... :(

One thing I learned is that putting the camera on the side of the boat lets you see the water next to the boat for a better sensation of speed, and so you can read the water better as well..... like you do when your actually in it.

Here's why a safety cord is not a bad idea either - mounted on scoop that had too much flex or vibration.

Second one has waterproof case - older silver Hero gopro - still a sh*t load of wind noise - needs a remote mic back by the engine - they don't make a remote for the silver Hero's as far as I know.

I have the same issue, older camera IN A WATERPROOF CASE but still have windnoise. Probably just going to upgrade the camera.

That was supposed to be "remote mic" they don't make a remote mic. But maybe they've solved the wind noise issues on the newer models - the hero 3's??
