The story behind your screen name
#51
I have an 8 second Small block 1970 Challenger T/A. Was my first car and still have it. I don't race any more because it was getting crazy expensive to be somewhat competitive, that's when I got into boating.

I live near Philadelphia, my name is Stephen R. Jones, I am an attorney, There was a race horse owned by the Chapman family (Philadelphia area family) called "Smarty Jones" which won the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness, and fell just short at Belmont (that was a very sad day). I may not be the brightest bulb, but I am no dummy so hence people started calling me Smarty. So the screen name on OSO became "Smarty." Pictures below: me Stephen "Smarty" Jones, and the horse "Smarty Jones"

Last name and an affinity for Oldsmobile 442s. At one time I had 5, now down to 2 69 442s (one rag top one holiday coupe) 2 69 Cutlass' and a 70 Cutlass. In addition, I have a 56 Bel Air (frame off) and a 62 SS Impala (frame off) about 75% complete. I used to jokingly refer to them as my retirement fund, but with the prices the way they are, it is becoming less and less of a joke. LOL!

At that time in life I love my boat so much I thought it would be a great screen name. (Snake Cove LOTO 9yrs ago)
