Sunsation and checkmate or hustler for that matter don't even compare to an OL, cig, or Nortech.

I think SummerO said it best, those are 4 very good reasons!

The question was, "…..with the exception of Nortech, Cigarette and OL what other manufacturers even have a presence in the sport Vee market as far as new models or for that matter new boats?". Since 2008, Sunsation has introduced 2 new models - the 36 S/SS/SSR/XRT and the 34 CCX. They are currently tooling a 29 CCX. I don't see the response as comparing Sunny or Checkmate to OL. Instead, the response was to the question posed above.

Well.. I'm a die hard Fountain guy to the core, but I had a chance to visit the OL factory yesterday and I gotta say... those guys make some AWESOME boats. Fit, finish, rigging, materials, everything. If I was in that price range, that's what I would buy... no question...

I don't understand why every OL thread ends up talking about Fountain. You fountain guys need to get a life and start your own thread.

I guess that's hard since there is nothing new to talk about with fountain. LOL living the old dreams and accomplishments of an out of business has been boat brand.

OL is at the top of their game and building world class boats that are hitting crazy numbers.

Give credit where credit is due and stop trying to plead your case about how great Fountain is, it's over with fountain.

Agree!! All the "props" in the world to Reggie Fountain and his accomplishments, I have huge respect for him. BUT, go back and look at the pics of the OL again...this is an whole nuther league of boat. On top of that it is a "Pleasure" version and NOT a purpose built race boat, so the prior comparisons are not valid and belong elsewhere. Heck, show me a Fountain that comes close to something of the caliber of Dustin's OL (and most other recent ones I have seen)...Apples to Oranges!!

HUGE CONGRATS to Dustin, Mike and everyone at OL...you should all be proud of this boat!

Cheers,

Dave

Skip Braver built a boat that threw up a big number too, and his brand doesn't get shlt for credit. (BTW, he's making more money than all of them.)

Wipe your chin off you have a little Reggie on it. Why don't you start a separate thread and talk about how great Reggie is and how everyone should bow down to him. Fountains are great boats but this thread is about Outerlimits. Not a word was said about Fountains until the Fountain die hards started it.

I certainly hope you will someday realize that top speed for a few seconds is not what defines a Great Boat...look at the design, fit and finish and pure sex appeal of Dustin's OL and try again.

I can shoot a row boat into the atmosphere and let it drop back to earth and it will be the "fastest boat"...but NOT the boat I would lust after. LOL

Cheers,

Dave
