tried mine out for the first time today. First flights went well, watched all the instruction videos and that helped. tried the return home and worked great.
Second flight I got a little bolder, and flew far and high. Lost sight of it, and connection failed ( probably too far away) This time it did not return home ( don't know if the GPS was set before take off)
Looked on the golf course I live on with no luck, got in the hummer to drive the neighborhood, and found it about 5 houses away in the middle of the street perfect landing, motors still running
This is going to be a lot of fun!!!!

This is a video of short test flight I did with one of my Helicopters. The field I am flying at is really too small to an all out speed run but this heli is capable of 100+mph runs. Not that that is screaming fast but as fast as most poker run boats

Any updates from new buyers? I bought the Phantom 2 vision & have gotten to fly it once so far. (too windy right now) It flew great & looks to be a lot of fun, however the app will not download to my phone for the camera. My phone is about 1 1/2 yrs old Samsung galaxy 4g lte and the app says it is not compatible with this phone. Has anyone else experienced this problem? My phone isn't eligible to upgrade yet so I was wondering if I could get a tablet or something that will work in it's place. The shop I bought it from is helpful with the copter part but not very knowledgible about the phone part. Verizon will be more than happy to sell me a new phone for full price of course, just wondering if anyone has any Ideas. Randy

Santa brought me a Phantom Vision and I have been flying it for several days. I have only had one incident as the rotors don't like tree limbs at all but just a couple new blades and I was back in action. I have been making a few short videos and taking some pictures but just mainly learning how to fly. The return home feature works great as does the fly by the POV camera. You just have to be very careful and make sure you calibrate the GPS every time you fly it and the green and red lights are on. If any yellow lights are showing then the GPS isn't working. I got a hard carrying case too and that was the best thing I got along with a spare battery. Unit seems great and is pretty easy to fly so I would expect to see a bunch around the poker run circuit this coming summer.

Santa brought me one as well, with carbon fiber props and an extra battery. Been playing with it, but I haven't put the Go Pro on it yet. I figured that if I crashed and burned I would only lose the Phantom and not it and my Go Pro. It's really easy to fly. As mentioned, I watched all of the instructional videos and they really helped. It is a really cool toy that will allow me to get some great shots.
