Pokerface was a factory owned boat made to promote Baja on the poker run circuit. That's why he ran it hard and I don't think he hurt it. I was with a group of Donzis on White Lake to watch the boats come in for the card stop there. A few of us ventured onto Lake Michigan briefly but there were 6 footers there by shore. I guess it was a lot worse for most of the run. Only a handful of boats made the complete poker run. That is when I really started respecting Baja. I do love messing with 24 owners who think that Donzi Classics are 65 mph boats.

i had a 1996 32 outlaw with sc525s.it had 6 bolster seats so yes the cockpit was huge, the probpem is to get that kind of room they had to shrink somewhere else.the engine bay was small to say the least, when i took the engines out i realized i dont want to work on baja,s anymore, that thing was tight.

I owned a 98 212 Islander w/a 454MPI, wasn't sure how it would hold up, but was impressed with the quality and fit and finish. She would haul the mail too with that lil' 310 HP !!

TCH, there was a red Skater V at LCM some years back. Big custom power/6's. Some claimed it to be a Skater/Baja collaboration. Don't know if that was a fact, but it was unique.

It looks like that did happen in 2002. Hard to find much info. http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/g...tml#post124699
Yes, Baja had Skater design up a boat that was going to be built for Baja as a colaboration. It was the pre-curser to the Skater 399. Powerboat had a short article and photo of it was back when. It basically looked like the 399. Project sat and sat and sat and never took off.
