klaw-
Our intentions are to leave Northpoint Friday AM as well- that is if our trailer is repaired by then? We would be staying for Friday day only.
We smoked an axle on 173 (new trailer) on our way to the Chicago-Racine run Saturday morning, and are awaiting warranty parts.
Would enjoy running down with you if this comes together!

Similar situation as JAFO. Broken bravo, but if drive is done by Friday we plan to boat down from Winthrop and meet some co-workers at Diversey. I'll watch the threads and keep you posted.

We were planning on taking the boat but, I heard it gets pretty wavy out there. I'm not good when I'm not going fast in waves!!

Is there going to be a meeting place for everyone on shore?

We plan on coming across from St. Joseph Saturday morning. We'll be there in our 32 Thunder along with a 32 Fountain for sure. Hopefully more will join us.

Steve,
I told Ericka last night I wanted to put into WB Friday night and stay there so we can head out in the morning Sat.

You thinking of heading back that afernoon still? I should call the Corona Express tonight and see if they want to go.

I'm in for Saturday. We will probably be making the run down from Winthrop Harbor in the morning.

Tracy - It usually isn't too bad. Check the weather report for the wind conditions. I spent many afternoons down there in a 25' boat and only had problems once. (wind from the east)

For any one looking to run with us, we are planning on leaving Northpoint Saturday with several other boats to Chicago.
Tracy as for the waves, it can get rough until all the boats get settled in. I have found if it gets too rough outside the entrance of Belmont harbor there is a cove that is protective and that is a good spot. Although I probally wont find a spot since I posted this.
Saturday night we plan on heading back North to spend the evening.

When do you plan on heading down there?
