I love those boats. Awesome speed and comfort and compact.
If I were you I'd try a X-Power design drive. Very efficient, only 11.5HP parasitic loss at those revs - and strong as hell. If you ran a 16 degree rake prop, will it force the nose down too much and slow you down? |
Any pictures of transom and drive set up,again what changes did you make to drive if any?

impressive!!!!
how's the blue/white/grey 26 from near me doing???? few changes on it too. any new info on the 30? |

KILLER!
Man, that thing pulls hard!!!! |
I have not got a ride in one yet...there is one here in Louisiana that I've gotten to take a close look at...cleanest neatest bildge of any builder out there IMO...look at the new red one listed...it has a built in blower vent...no black or white blower hose...top notch rigging all the way around and the performance speaks for itself... someone throw down the money for the 30....it'd have to be one of the best 30's ever if the 26 is any indecision of what they can do!

On this boat, the 16 degree will lift the tail so bad that it actually plants the left sponson in the water up to around 100 then it starts to carry the nose. It runs decent but is quite a ride, especially once you get off the throttle. The 16 degree will make the boat skate around a lot on decell. |

We still have some work to do on the skeg. Fairly certain that we will get 145-147 out of it on pump gas. I will try to post some pics of the transom and lower unit before and after later today or over the weekend. |
Absolutely love it. Dying for one of these as an LG boat someday. Be a cool rocketship with one of our 700s in it....Prop it to accelerate and have a nice 110 mph missile.

I ran from 22's to 32's and validated what a really smart guy once told me."The rig will want what it want's and more pitch doesn't necessarily mean more speed". Ended up, 3 MPH's covered from the 26 to 32 but the 26 was an absolute blast to drive! Most have no idea. I never lost a race in that boat when going from a 30/40 roll and taught me a great lesson. I like your thinking ;) |
