You forgot one little important part. Intelligent people know when NOT to race.

You're not going to take your jogging race across an active highway. You're not going to take your stop light race in to the upcomming traffic, and your not going to take your lake race through a pack of family's tubing in a bay.

.

Amen

Based on the conversations I have had, not much is changing. However adhering to existing rules (not passing pace boat until released and the speed limit on the one section of lake) will be required and monitored and if in violation driver and boat owner will be disqualified and not allowed to participant in DS in the future. I think they are going to enforce those rules more this year then in past years.

Wake up people, we love to race, run fast and all the rest is just blah blah blah.

Hell, even the sailboaters love to race. Sometimes they bump into each other. Sometimes they fall in the water.

If you don't like to race, like a little "danger" then don't go to poker runs, buy a cruiser and sit on the sideline and watch the rest of us haul ass.

brilliant reply..... i'm sure your insurance company loved it ----- or, should i say your ex-insurer!!!!! LOL.

Some of my favorite poker runs I have attended did not have set times for stops or started from the same spot.

tickfaw 200 is one of these... every boat leaving form the same stop at the same time would be ridiculously crowded even if we were all separated in groups.

You guys that like to "race" . You all need to Grow a set and actually race. Us racers or x racers know and we are not Challenged by anothers manhood. So go race asswholes and get some of it outa your system.

However, the occasional 30 seconds to see who is faster is ok :D

Yes-poor or non-existent crowd control. You would think that the sheriffs dept or coast guard auxiliary would help out but they are no where to be found on the day of the poker run.
