Got to be honest huh? Well, ok
A 10ft Hobie Cat Mono Hull blowboat when I was 10 or 12 yrs old...
Ok. There! Now I said it...
I rolled that boat in the surf one year and totalled it.
The next boat I built myself. The Bullet 130. It handled the surf much better.
I went through 3 of those Bullets.
Currently in a 28 ft Checkmate w/twin Merc 2.5 EFI Offshores.
I am a Technician for the phone company.

The first I purchased, a 1988 Ski Brendella...I still have it. Growing up we had several, 18ft Power Cat w/ 2 white 70hp Merc's, 14ft Winner with 50hp Merc, 16ft Bomber 115 Johnson. There were others I just can't remember. I drove the Winner all over Old Hickory Lake as a 16-18 year old. We lived on the lake. No dock, but the launch ramp was 1 mile away.
I spent 21 years in the AF and work on the F/A-22 for LM Aero in Marietta now.

1971 Cobalt tri-hull with a 302 Ford....used it on LOTO for 13 years....had 1500 hours on the meter when we sold it, and the boat was mint and solid......best built boat we've owned. We ran the heck out of it. If I could find it, I'd probably buy it back.
