Re: OK members: What was your first boat?
Family has had a boat my whole life. My dad had a late 60's flat bottom Starcraft with a 50Hp Merc on it. Brother still uses that boat to fish.
My first boat was a 1990 Baja 190DSR with a 4.3 and an Alpha 1. Bought that in 97 when I was 27 years old, working as a sales rep for a wholesale electronics company. I owned that untill 03 when I bought a 91 Baja 260 454 330hp with Bravo 1. My current boat is a 88 Baja 280 Force, twin 454 365hp with bravo 1's. Bought that last spring. I work doing installation/service of satellite systems and home theater systems.

1993 206 Rinker with a 4.3LX/Alpha. Great little boat. Bought it in 1998 when I was 34 years old. Since then I've owned a 1999 232 Rinker, 1999 266 Crownline, and currently a 2004 260 SSi Chaparral. Once the kid is off to college in a few more years, I'm finally going to buy an an offshore-style boat (28 AT?) unless momma insists on a cruiser.

First Boat
I was 11 at the time. 9' home built flat bottom race boat. Had a 7.5HP Johnson outboard with tiller steering and throttle. It also have an open transom to allow water coming over the bow to drain while under way. One of my brothers friends took it for a ride and smashed it into the seawall. I'll never forget watching him come flying toward the shore trying to steer with the wheel and grab onto the tiller handle to slow down. JUNK
Adult boat- 22 years old. 17' switzercraft with a 175 merc. Learned how to control chine walk with that boat. Put many hours on that boat running around the chain in northern Ill.
Now- close your eyes, what do you see?
