That sounds about right. Aren't those low compression engines that can run on 87 octane?
My friends 28 Saber runs 88 with 540 Hawks (454's 177 blowers) and like others say rides exceptional.

his are 572/650's which are very mild in the big scheme of what a 572 has for potential. ive ran with chris quite a bit and his boat runs like a rolex. Anyone looking for a bad a$$ saber??

Never been on a Saber. My buddy had a twin BB 28 Pantera. I noticed the freeboard was very low, I didnt like standing in the back seat in rough waters. I thought it rode well for a 28FT boat, but also felt it rode, well, like a 28ft boat. In Lake Michigan slop, he really had to work to keep up with the larger 35-40ft boats, which is expected.

Wasnt there a guy in West Michigan that had a 28 Saber, and got tossed out of the boat several years back in some rough water? I thought I remember hearing something like that. It was a scary story

I think it was you who told me that story. Were you guys racing each other? Was it rough out? How did it happen

I want a 41 Saber.
