Pantera's have a great reputation...

But I would take the Saber all day long!

Great pics Jon.. Man I've always loved that shot of it running and hadn't seen it in a while, as a matter of fact it's the Only shot of it that I've ever seen of in the water...haha.. I would have really loved to gotten my hands on the boat how it was originally rigged when JD had it, because I know it was a runner to say the least !!!

Somewhere on OSO years ago, I thought Dietz had posted they were going about 100 in that picture.

Haha !!

To comment on Bill's post, I obviously have no idea what they were running but by the looks of it I'm guessing they had the sticks to the dash !!!!

I've heard from a few good sources throughout the years that the boat ran between 103-105 on gps

** I'll go ahead & add an apology to the OP of this thread if it gets off track.. However I know he's a gear head too so I'm confident he understands a rabbit trail or two.. haha.. I'm not on here a ton anymore so this is almost like an ole cyber family reunion to me..**

I would prefer the lower freeboard of the Pantera. Hate feeling like I am up to my shoulders in boat like in an Outerlimits.
