How did you become President!!??
Experience, Knowledge and Leadership. Thanks for asking. And for those commenting, I have had to turn potential members away, because their boat did not qualify for membership. So, to that point, we are an elite club, not by ego, but by qualification. I don't look down on any boat owner (except sail boaters), who learn, respect and adhere to the rules of navigation. I made a comment about this being Offshore Only, as TOPPS is an Offshore Powerboat Club. after someone posts about buying a boat. And a bunch of you got an itch in your vagina. Not sure what point you are trying to make. Wobble, feel free to call me anytime. |
A bit of trivia on Crownline. The boats produced prior to the mid 2000's were designed by Bobby Carlson, son of Art Carlson. If you look closely you can see some of that Glastron-Carlson heritage in the lines. That's what drew me to the boats years ago. They are not a particularly fast hull, but are great at what they were designed for. I've repowered over 20 of these boats with power up to 700 HP. They actually handle pretty well at 75-80 mph on smooth water. I've been in a lot of boats that would scare the crap out of you at those speeds. There was once a guy who actually raced a 225CCR in OFFSHORE races in the late 90's. Ran in the P5 class with a Procharged 502. So, does that make it an offshore boat??? I dunno.

I guess the reason I'm confused is that his boat meets the requirements per your by laws??? That's all...
(1) No less than 21 feet LOA. (2) Top Speed in excess of 50 mph. (3) Have a proof of insurance. (4) Have a Boating Safety Certificate. http://clearlaketopps.com/images/pdfs/bylaws_ver2.pdf :readinghelp: |
