What are you saying that is not enough cooling for big block? The 454 is a big block right? Are there certain years or versions that have to be used forthe swap.

What is the best set for the conversion. I have seen aluminum manifolds/cast iron, water rail / no water rail. What riser?

496 manifold/risers will work just fine also. You may have to make some modifications to bolt up accessories.

The 496 risers are dry joint , will fit, and will cool just fine. The other dry joint system I was referring to LOOKS similar to your current risers but will not work... Its for small blocks.
