I would like to convoy with someone since I havn't been there before. I don't know the best way to get there from GR. I hope to leave Thursday afternoon. Would like to follow Mike O. since he's done it a few times. I am going to make a week out of it. Have you been there before???

I was down there this spring and I spent a week on vacation at the lake last year. Laura has a comittment Thursday after work so we cannot leave until around 6 or 7. If that works for you let me know otherwise we will have to hook up at the lake. Dwight.

Ps the fastest route for us has been to take 57 to effingham and then take 70 to St Louis. alot of people take 55 south but I prefer 57.

Steve and Whitey, I'm leaving my house here in G.R. around 7:30 or 8:00 pm. EST (Eastern Time). I'm meeting up with G-Force at 10:30 CST (Central time!!) at the rest stop just south of Pontiac, IL on I-55 south and going the rest of the way with him. If you want to hook up with us, that's the route we'll be taking. I have never driven I-57 so I'm going to stick with the route I know.
