Isn't that a pretty easy way to sink a boat?

When talking about boats. the correct term would be "line" as in "dock line" not "dock rope".

You tie your girlfriend up with rope.

You tie your boat up with line...

But soft dock lines work great for tying the gf to the bed so are they still lines or are they now ropes?

If that was triple engine 47 Apache he would have pulled the dock down with him on the way out!

That was amazing.

I was thinking he was lucky he had a slip. I would LOVE to see him launch the boat from the trailer.... with a strong current..... and a little wind.... and 8 friends "helping".....

He's lucky the dock cleat didn't pull off. Could have split his skull or done some serious damage to the boat. At idle or just above it probably wouldn't happen, but I always stand back when some yahoo decides to put a serious strain on a line.

If he wasn't drunk, he might of had a problem. Some people get clutch slippage and have that dazed and confused look/way about them. Happened to my neighbor, walked over to my house, rang the doorbell and asked me "What are you doing in my house?" I walked him over to his house and told his family what just transpired. Sad really, sometimes the body is strong and the mind just deteriorates way too early. Oh well, nice looking powerboat.
