24 ' Deep V big block Offshore Powerboat Cigarette Speedboat This is not a fishing boat. Here's the good news: True 70mph Sport Boat, handles nasty-ass Dames Point's wind driven white cap swells like a magic carpet ride. No need to fear the ocean in fact it's a ball at speed. Great original Gel Coat. Bimini Top, & Cover. Engine is a "Roller" Ford 460 , Stainless Marine Headers w/ 4" exhausts, 429 PI Heads, 429SCJ Intake. CLOSED LOOP COOLING! Less then 5 hours on new VOLVO 290 Drive w/ SS Prop and nose cone. double axle Alum Float-on Trailer. Have not run it in about 7 years. Needs Full Restoration// $9,000 Firm http://images.craigslist.org/00W0W_i...iG_600x450.jpg yeahhhh....true 70mph boat...and 9k when it hasn't been run in 7 years. He doesn't even say what kind of boat it actually is. Wow! The picture looks like it was taken in the 1980's....check out the swimsuits and the tennis visor. I wonder if that is a 24 Jaws? I'd love to know what it looks like these days....if it hasn't been run in 7 years and needs a full restoration I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say $9k firm is a tad wee bit on the high side |

Anybody notice that the engines aren't connected to the jet pumps ? If you look at the pictures you can see the end of the pump with no shaft.

Anyone recall the story of the 24 Hawaiian they did at the factory with twins? I read the story years ago on scream and fly, apparently it was very tough to keep it from swapping ends at will and the concept was scrapped although that one was straight twins in line with the motors. Offsetting the pumps in gets around this little issue :D |

The under carriage is painted and chromed plated. The brake caliper and roters are also chrome plated. The hydralic system is equpped with 4 batteries and 2 hydralic pumps. All mechanical componets have been chrome plated including shocks, struts, springs, axels and gas tank. someone might have invested(wasted)$60-70k on this car but couldn't spend the time with a dictionary eh? |

Note to self, never buy a sailboat on eBay in winter and try to sail back to Australia......
BOSTON (AP) — The Coast Guard says an Australian father and son have been rescued after their oceangoing sailboat ran into trouble during Sunday’s storm. Petty Officer LaNola Stone tells WBZ-TV (http://cbsloc.al/1yH0bhw) the men were picked up about 140 miles southeast of Nantucket by a Coast Guard Jayhawk helicopter based on Cape Cod. Stone said the sailors called for help around 5 a.m. when their 43-foot boat lost power and had its sails torn. The helicopter reached them about 9 a.m. She said it took about two hours to pick up the men in 60 mph winds and 25-foot seas. No one was injured but the men were taken to a hospital to be evaluated for hypothermia. Stone told the station the men had bought their boat ‘‘Sedona’’ on eBay and left from Rhode Island on Friday, headed for Australia. |
Reference made back to the very first post. Love those famous words by the seller: " was running when parked." WTF Means nothing------NOTHING.
Have a brother that purchased (in his words) a super deal. Two sleds on a two-place trailer. $ 500.00 When I asked how they started/ran? He said, the seller said those famous words: They ran when they were placed on the trailer and parked. Yeah, parked outside on an open trailer, no covers on the sleds for over 5 years. Yeah right! |

Pretty sure this boat is built for an outboard, but the motor and "shoes for the motor" he's including is a 6cyl mercruiser and a lower unit
