Yes, these 292s were rebuilt and with new cams produce close to 300 hp. Boat also has the cool heavy duty Merc II-TRS drives, and on top of that an extra pair of newly rebuilt drives. Just the drives are worth a pretty penny for the classic connesoisseurs. I personally like everything about the restoration, with the exception of the too retro windshield and the helm, but then, those are easily exchanged for the original design, which I definitely prefer. Sure hope she finds a good caretaker.

Another photo of the engines, and a photo of another restored Baron 28 with the stock windshield and original interior. I prefer these original.

I’m w/you Lars, I prefer orig but the new one looks good too.
And as we both know, if you can write the check, it can be purple and ugly.

300 HPs from the in-lines is huge.
Times two, should be a fun ride.

I saw that ad and wondered where they/you got that history on the Imperials and Aronow?

I freagin love this thing!

You can tell it was still early enough that they designed the interiors around the top end cars of the day.
Hadnt don’t the nautical bend yet.
