I have never gotten that impression about tinkerboat or tinkerer. He has always been quite helpful to me and others. What are you refering to Saber28?

Dave

Thanks blue thunder

SABER28 just has it in for me --
HE is a JERK and believes it is OK for him to voice his opinion but NO ONE ELSE CAN.
All I can say is that I am a pretty easy going person but for him I will make an exception.

And MR runabouts is not living in the real world.
If you lose the CEO of a major company not much will change with the new CEO that is brought in.
But with a small company that is run by one man and that man has a hand in the day to day operations and instructing how HE wants things done- then if he is lost the company will change. The replacement workers that are hired to replace the ones that are lost in normal business operation will probably not be the same as the ones that would have been hired had the original owner been there. I have been around small businesses for 30 + years and have seen this happen many times so I am basing it on fact of experience.

Give those guys all the money up front, They build themselves a race boat with your money and make you waite till someone buys another boat so they can do the same to them.
If you are so naive as to give anyone "all the money up front," then thats your fault.
Maybe you should start your own thread with some SPECIFICS.

Sounds to me that he was just securing a place in line. I bet HTM did not run out and buy a ton of materials because he had a place in line.

So what if he changed his mind. That will allow the next person that really wants one to move up one place in line.

That is just a method to seperate the serious buyers from the want-to-be owners.

Looks like another HTM rolled on the Parker Strip just below Lake Havasu this past weekend.

The guys that post here know a lot more. There's even one of the local water police that keeps threads like this from running wild.
